Catriel Efrony

Catriel Catriel Efrony was born in Vienna. After the rise of the Nazis, he immigrated to the Land of Israel with Youth Aliyah. He was one of the founders of Kibbutz Gesher in the Jordan Valley, where he lived for many years.He studied art at the Avni Institute in Tel Aviv. Later he spent three years in South America, studying at Bellas-Artes in Brazil, and went to Paris for further training. Eventually he settled in the artists' quarter in Safed, where he lives and works.
Efrony works in acrylic, watercolor and pen and ink. His abstract style has become more figurative and expressionist over the years.
